We are really happy to be able to show off the new website for our mobile game project "My Child: Lebensborn". Now that we finally have the right layout in place, we'll also start posting more news here.
Our project started all the way back in 2013, where it was only an idea discussed between what is now lead game designer Catharina Due Bøhler and producer Elin Festøy. And since then a lot has happened.
But the start can be slow. We had a creative workshop in the spring of 2014, before we had to spend months working on the funding. We were so lucky to get the basic development funding in place in the autumn of 2015, and we have since then worked intensely with developing the game.
And filled with optimism, we created the first, preliminary web page on this site last spring, simply using a custom theme offered by Nation Builder, which is the publication- and community system that we are using. Back then, our intensions were also to be quite quick with a proper web design.
But it isn't always that easy. We saw that we didn't have a visual style for the game itself that was developed enough to be the basis for the marketing material and web site, so we decided to wait. When marketing games, it's a good idea to ensure that all the visual material is coherent - so that we build one clear profile for the game.
That way, the marketing will be the most efficient.
So - that's the reason that the calendar now says 2017 as we unveil our first proper web site. And this also means that we actually have a lot of new stuff to communicate in the months to come, since we are entering an exiting year where we'll have an alpha, a beta, and finally a complete game to launch.
It's going to be a great year - and we're so glad to have you on board following our project. Hope you'll like what you see!
